Epoxy is a rigid, slow-curing coating that can yellow and lift under hot tires. Polyaspartic is a fast-curing, UV-stable subset of polyurea often used as the clear top coat. Polyurea is the flexible base layer. The systems we install pair a polyurea base with a polyaspartic top, which is why they can be walked on the same day.

A properly prepared polyurea-polyaspartic floor lasts 15–20 years or more. Almost every early failure traces to preparation rather than product — a coating over a slab that was not ground and moisture-tested will peel regardless of what it cost.

It is if the slab is staying. A coating seals concrete against oil, salt, and freeze-thaw spalling, makes the space far easier to clean, and brightens the garage considerably. On a slab that is already cracking badly, repair has to come first — we will tell you if that is the case.

For a garage, yes. Polyurea and polyaspartic coatings stay flexible, resist hot-tire pickup, and do not yellow in sunlight, all of which epoxy struggles with. Polyurea also cures in hours rather than days. Epoxy remains cheaper up front, which is why it is what most big-box kits contain.
