For a garage, yes. Polyurea and polyaspartic coatings stay flexible, resist hot-tire pickup, and do not yellow in sunlight, all of which epoxy struggles with. Polyurea also cures in hours rather than days. Epoxy remains cheaper up front, which is why it is what most big-box kits contain.

Epoxy is a rigid, slow-curing coating that can yellow and lift under hot tires. Polyaspartic is a fast-curing, UV-stable subset of polyurea often used as the clear top coat. Polyurea is the flexible base layer. The systems we install pair a polyurea base with a polyaspartic top, which is why they can be walked on the same day.

It comes down to square footage, the condition of the slab, and how much grinding, crack repair, and moisture testing it needs before anything is applied. A slab in good shape costs meaningfully less than one that needs repair, so the inspection comes first and the estimate is itemized and free.

A properly prepared polyurea-polyaspartic floor lasts 15–20 years or more. Almost every early failure traces to preparation rather than product — a coating over a slab that was not ground and moisture-tested will peel regardless of what it cost.

Foot traffic the same day, vehicles in about 24 hours. That is the practical advantage of polyurea over epoxy, which typically needs several days before a car can go back in.

It is if the slab is staying. A coating seals concrete against oil, salt, and freeze-thaw spalling, makes the space far easier to clean, and brightens the garage considerably. On a slab that is already cracking badly, repair has to come first — we will tell you if that is the case.
